Can I rent out my ADU?+
Yes — as long as one of the two homes on the property is owner-occupied. Live in the main house and rent the ADU, or live in the ADU and rent the main house.
How long does permitting take?+
Because the plans are pre-approved by the City, the remaining review is shorter and more predictable than a custom ADU. We give you a timeline for your specific lot after the eligibility check.
Can I customize the plan?+
Yes. Modify materials, windows, and interior layouts through a licensed design professional, which we coordinate as part of the project.
What does it cost?+

Do I have to live inside Woodstock city limits?+
For this program, yes. A "Woodstock" mailing address isn't a guarantee — many are in unincorporated Cherokee County. Our address tool checks your jurisdiction against the City's own GIS.
